Designed by Nature

National Geographic is currently holding its annual photo contest. It's hard to narrow it down to a few, but these are truly the most breathtaking pictures. This is why we are always searching for the next adventure.

Canadian Rockies - if only I could slice this and use it as a coffee table.

Dubai - when design touches the sky

Gemini Tower, Copenhagen by Elena Baroni - something of the Guggenheim don't you think?

Harding Ice-field trail - so unbelievably stunning and not only because there is a bear in it (my favorite).

Trolley in New Orleans - when two worlds collide the effects are breathtaking.

Snow Geese in flight- to me they look chiseled into space.

Spring Ice - a delicate warning from nature

Yellowstone - to remind us that we didn't create the color wheel. blue and orange are made for each other.

Pakistan - a tree from a dream.

Upper Antelope Canyon, AZ - the most astounding sculptural design by the wind

Voodoo Market, Lome Togo - when they say multiples makes a statement.

Yellowstone Snow - if I could dream of nothing this would be it.
